Remember the Cheezel Book ?

Before heading off to the mainland to visit my mum I started with the idea of a Cheezel Book which you may have read about in this blog post. Fun project.

how it was made - I started with A3 size sheets of Abermill rag paper - one side is blank and the other side is lined. I used both sides as the front of the accordian pages so they alternated blank and lined. Its a beautiful paper around 180gsm that i have had in my stash for years and is no longer available.

I scanned and photographed the cheezels, prior to eating them, edited a little creating white or black backgrounds. As it happened i never used any of the black backbround images in this book. The A3 sheets are folded in half and folded across the sheet to create 4 accordian pages with images on both sides.

The challenge then was to join up the pages of 4 folds to each other out of the 6 sheets used.

The final measure is 10x15cm with 48 pages (back and front). and 'covers' were cut from the cheezel box and glued to the front and back. Some collage to be undertaken on the pages across the booklet.

have a look at this video and this one showing some of the making of the book. a third one to come soon problem solving the attachment of the covers and looking at collage aspects of the book pages.
